My neighbor knows Alvaro. He gave me the number when I asked him if he knew anyone who might be able to rebuild the fork seals on my 2007 Goldwing CSC trike. That was on Tuesday. Wednesday morning I had to go to Mt. Sinai hospital for something and since I would be riding close to Alvaro’s shop on my way back, I called and asked if I could stop by for a consult and go from there. SURE. When I arrived I expressed concern about the fork bearings as well. I (myself) could not discern if they were bad as well, as the fork seals could be masking a problem with the bearings. Alvaro told me that the bearings were fine (GREAT. No upsell!!😊). I asked him to replace all the brake pads, install a new fork brace as well as a parking brake assembly for the front brakes. He gave me a very reasonable estimate and asked when I could leave it. I said “now. I’ll uber home.” He said “Ok. I’ll have it ready tomorrow afternoon.” 😳😳😳. It was ready as promised and he also gave my trike a MUCH needed bath before he would let me leave. I cannot recommend Alvaro any higher than this. I’m going back every time I need service.
