Privacy Policy

SoFlo Motorcycles (“SoFlo Motorcycles,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a directory of motorcycle businesses in South Florida, operated by 914Digital. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use soflomotorcycles.com (the “Service”), how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

By using the Service, you agree to the data practices described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

We collect information you give us when you:

Submit a contact form. Your name, email address, phone number (optional), the type of inquiry, your message, and any additional information you choose to include — such as a business name, website, or story pitch.

Submit a listing claim request. Your name, email address, phone number, your role at the business (owner, manager, etc.), and any message you include.

Create a user account. Your name, email address, and password (passwords are stored as a hash, never in plaintext). Account creation typically happens when you complete a claim through an invitation we send you.

Subscribe to a paid plan. Our Featured plan ($39/month or $390/year) is processed through Stripe. We do not directly receive or store your full credit card number — Stripe handles that. We do receive limited information from Stripe, including your billing name, billing email, the last four digits of your card, the card brand, and your subscription status.

Communicate with us by email. Anything you include in messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Service, we automatically collect:

  • Usage data — pages visited, links clicked, time on site, referring website, browser type, device type, operating system, and approximate location (typically city or region based on IP)
  • IP address and server logs — collected by our hosting provider for security, troubleshooting, and analytics purposes
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookies section below

Information from third parties

We may receive information from third-party services we use, including:

  • Stripe — payment, subscription, and billing data as described above
  • Google Analytics — aggregated usage statistics about how visitors find and use the Service
  • Google Search Console — aggregated data about how the Service appears in search results

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and maintain the Service
  • Respond to your contact, claim, or support inquiries
  • Process listing claims and verify business ownership
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Process subscription payments and send billing-related communications
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmations, claim notifications, payment receipts)
  • Analyze how the Service is used and improve it
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and policy violations
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use your information for advertising on third-party platforms.

We do not share your contact information with the businesses listed in our directory unless you choose to contact them directly.

How We Share Your Information

We share information only as described below:

Service providers. We use third-party companies to operate the Service, including Stripe (payment processing), our hosting provider (server infrastructure, server logs), email delivery providers (sending transactional and notification emails), and Google (Analytics and Search Console). These providers have access only to the information needed to perform their services and are obligated to protect it.

Business owners who claim listings. If you submit a claim request on a listing, the contents of your claim are sent to our administrators. The business owner who eventually claims that listing does not receive your contact details unless you explicitly chose to contact them.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process; to enforce our Terms of Service; to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Service, our users, or the public; or in connection with a sale, merger, or acquisition of our business.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential cookies — required for the Service to function (login sessions, security)
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to understand how the Service is used
  • Preference cookies — to remember your settings

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Service may not work properly. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal, which we honor where technically feasible.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for the following minimum periods:

  • Account information — for the life of your account, plus 1 year after deletion
  • Contact form submissions — up to 2 years
  • Claim requests — for the life of the associated listing, plus 1 year
  • Billing and payment records — 7 years (for tax and accounting compliance)
  • Server logs — typically 30 to 90 days

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see “Your Rights” below).

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, password hashing (we never store passwords in plaintext), access controls limiting who can view personal data, and payment data handled exclusively by PCI-DSS-compliant providers (Stripe).

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data as best we can.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access — request a copy of the information we have about you
  • Correction — request that we update inaccurate information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your information
  • Opt-out of communications — unsubscribe from marketing emails (transactional emails like billing notices may still be sent)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@soflomotorcycles.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right to opt out of any “sale” of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@soflomotorcycles.com and we’ll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated by email (to registered users) or by a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
