Ed is a POS lemon dealer. Back in March of 2025 I purchased a 2016 Kawasaki ninja 650 from him for ~$6000, it had low mileage and some cosmetic damage, or so I thought so I bought it. He would order me a new battery and new turn signals. He said it would be delivered within a week. Looking back through my call logs it took him 12 days to get the thing to me. I called him twice asking when it would arrive during that time and he said he was "cleaning it and getting it ready". When it arrived it still had the same grime on the clutch, brake levers, and gas tank as when I saw it in the shop, he didn't do anything and BS'd the whole time. This is a common theme. That cosmetic damage included replacements for the rear turn signals. He said he would order a replacement and get it to me. That took him 2 weeks to get that to me where I was able to replace it. In that time the first issues arose, the bike had a 3rd party alarm installed unbeknownst to me and that was causing the turn signals to become unusable. Next the bike had starting issues, it started here and there. But then in June the bike would not start at all. I had it towed back to him where I stated the issues, he said he would have it fixed. It took a month to get it "fixed". A WHOLE MONTH. I had to call him twice a week, every week to even get an update on what the issue was and how he was going to take care of it. Finally he started calling me back whenever there was an update only on the last week before it was finished. The voltage regulator and another part or two had broken and needed to be replaced. Then the work was done in July. I picked it up, he said that "parts are covered under warranty but not labor but I'll waive that this time". That reminded me that there were no warranty information anywhere in the documents after the sale nor on his website. The bike started. So I drove it home. Not even half way into the 10 minute drive the bike shutoff as I was driving it, no lights, no sounds, nothing. I was furious. I got another tow. But I could not stand to wait another month to have it fixed. So I bit the bullet and took it to an actual mechanic. That's where I learned the whole truth, the bike's electrical system had been severely damaged by the previous owner. The generator gasket, the stator, the generator cover all had to be replaced and the voltage regulator as well because he cheaped out and bought a knockoff Chinese one. He had took in the bike from the previous owner, did absolutely nothing to see if it worked or even bothered to fix it, and sold it to me. Another ~$1400 down the drain. I never wanted to see his face again. It worked for 8 months after that. But it broke down again. Now its a faulty connection between the main fuse and starter, another ~$300 gone into the aether. This is the 3rd time this bike has broken down. This is what you get when you buy from him. Broken bikes, shoddy work, no guarantees, and nothing but frustration. If you want to make it right, you have my info, send me a cheque for the work YOU should've done BEFORE you sold it to me.

In September 2009, I bought my first motorcycle, a CBR 600RR, at Top Gear Inc. Later, I sold it for a personal project. Four years later, on July 15, 2017, I returned to Top Gear Inc. and fell in love with a VTX 1800cc, which I bought. Now, on January 3, 2026, I went to look at a Harley and fell in love again, this time with a Yamaha Royal Star Venture. I told them to give me a few days to think about it, and I bought it five days later. George helped me, as always. That's why whenever I want to buy a motorcycle, the only place that comes to mind is Top Gear Inc. Thank you, George, for making another one of my dreams come true!
