SoFlo Motorcycles

Why SoFlo Motorcycles Exists

The directory I wanted didn't exist, so I built it.

If you’ve ever tried to find a motorcycle shop in South Florida — a good one, not just the first one Google decided to surface — you know the problem.

You get a wall of listings. Some closed years ago. Some are gas stations that happen to sell oil. The reviews are mostly drive-by complaints from people who don’t ride. The actually-good local builders, the trustworthy dealers, the small shops where the owner knows your bike by sound — they’re in there somewhere, but you have to know what you’re looking for.

That’s why SoFlo Motorcycles exists.

The idea

There’s no shortage of motorcycle culture in South Florida. From Palm Beach to Miami, we’ve got dealers, custom builders, gear shops, repair specialists, schools, clubs, and rentals — pretty much anything you’d want, if you can find it.

What we don’t have is a single place to find all of it organized properly. So I built one.

The whole site is curated. Every listing is vetted before it goes live. Categories are real categories, not whatever a business owner happened to type in. Locations actually mean something — Palm Beach is Palm Beach, not “South Florida-ish.”

It’s the kind of directory that takes work to maintain. But that’s the point. If it took no work, it wouldn’t be useful.

Who’s behind this

I run 914 Digital, a web agency here in South Florida. I’m also a motorcycle enthusiast. SoFlo Motorcycles is the project I built for fun — because the directory I wanted to use didn’t exist, and because I wanted to give something back to a community that’s given me a lot.

This isn’t trying to compete with Google or Yelp. They’ve got their own thing. This is a smaller, sharper alternative — for people who’d rather get a curated list of eight great shops than scroll through eighty unverified results.

What’s coming

For now, the site is a directory. Search by category, search by location, find what you need.

In the months ahead, expect more:

  • Stories on local builders and the shops behind them
  • Route guides for South Florida riders
  • Events and meetups worth showing up for
  • A claim-and-manage system so businesses can keep their own pages current

If you own a motorcycle business and you’re already listed, find your listing and click the Claim button. If you’re not listed yet and you should be, send us a note and we’ll add you.

If you ride and you’ve got recommendations — your favorite Sunday loop, the shop nobody talks about, the bar where bikes outnumber cars — we want to hear from you too.

Welcome aboard.
